Event Description: The Texas chapter of N.O.R.M.L. & Outgrow Big Bro call for citizens of Texas to break the silence and join thousands of Texans for a day centered on our demand for re-legalization of responsible marijuana use! The Potluck for Pot-love is being held in conjunction with the Texas Cannabis Crusade. The day begins at 10AM in Zilker Park’s Pecan Grove for sign making and breakfast tacos, moving on to the Texas Cannabis Crusade march departing Zilker Park at noon. At 1PM, the march will arrive at the capitol for a variety of speakers and live music. This event’s finale is a Pot-luck for Pot-love back at Zilker Park from 4-10PM. Event Description: Mobile Loaves & Fishes will host “Uncorked,” their ninth annual Wine Tasting and Auction, on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Texas Disposal Systems Exotic Game Ranch and Pavilion.
MLF’s only annual fundraiser, Uncorked will feature fine wines, hors d’oeuvres, silent and live auctions, and live music on the 800-acre working ranch that is home to more than 1,600 animals.
General admission tickets are $75 and Vintage Tasting tickets are available for $250, which includes admission to the main event beginning at 7 p.m.
The Vintage Tasting, featuring wines rated 90 or better on the Parker Scale paired with gourmet foods, will begin at 6 p.m. (The $250 admission allows ticket holders to attend both events.) The Vintage Tasting will feature local personalities as “pourers,” plus local chefs and wine experts.
